The Swilly Ferry runs seasonally, from Buncrana to Rathmullan. I'm not sure of the start up date, but the last ferry is usually the first weekend of September.
It's relatively inexpensive - I believe, 12 Euro per car. And, if you're traveling between Inishowen and Dunfanaghy, the ferry saves a grip of time., allowing travelers to avoid the long run down through Newton-Cunningham, nevermind the Letterkenny traffic. Quite scenic, as well.

Lough Swilly Bus company operates busses To and From Buncrana. This is one of the two bus companies who operate buses from Buncrana. They have got their small bus station just in the town centre.
