La Bella Donna: La Bella Donna: Good Italian Food in Donegal Town

by Bettlebrox Updated Apr 4, 2011

Surprisingly good Italian food for Donegal! I try and eat here for dinner whenever I'm home, the food is good, the prices are reasonable, the staff are friendly and it might well be the best place for dinner in town. The ambiance of this is place is sorta romantic modern Italian.

However, it sometimes can takes a really, really, really long time for food to be prepared. When the food does arrive it is fresh and hot.

Favorite Dish: Pasta with Pesto Sauce.
    Sirloin Steak.

Aroma: La Aroma: Great for lunch, coffee or cake!

by Bettlebrox Written Jan 10, 2008

Good place for lunch, coffee, or cake! Make sure to try their great Orange Cake with a dollop of cream. It's very small, and at lunchtime will often be full with locals so either arrive before noontime or after 1pm. They do sandwiches, and usually have a couple of hot specials. Decent coffee (for Ireland) too. And they make all of their own breads, cakes, and deserts.

    1.Teach Killindarach, Annagry...exclusive.

They have won many national awards for fine food..075 48201. (It's called 'Danny Minnies locally). They also have B+B accomodation. Situated in the Gaeltacht village of Annagry and strategically placed between hill and sea on the coast road between Dungloe and Bunbeg, Teach Killindarragh offers a restful and popular rendezvous for the discerning traveller to mingle with the locality and succumb to the delights of a first class meal. This family run restaurant both delights and charms it's visitors.

I wish I had a link to a website for this restaurant, but as yet they don't have one. It is advisable to reserve in advance. This place is a special treat, somewhere you don't rush, you enjoy the food, the wine and the ambience, and relax for the whole evening.

    2.Bistro, Main st, Dungloe....075 21062

    Best food in Dungloe town.

    3.LobsterPot, BurtonPort......075 42012.

Situated close to the pier, the fish is ALWAYS great here.
