The Olympia is a beautifully old theatre the interior is very old fashioned. Built in 1879. You can still see a play and a wide range of events from concerts to comedy.
Box office is beside the theatre.. If you don't fancy a play then come back at Midnight where you will find a late night music spot. Imagine dancing in the aisles of a plush theatre, two bars to serve the crowds, it's a great place to go and enjoy the music.. Check the local free papers for listings of what’s on.

The Olympia Theater is located on Dame Street, across from Dublin Castle. It is one of Dublin's prime venues, offering theatre, comedy, music and more. Built in 1879 by R. N Brutton, remodelled in 1897 and restored in 1980s the Olympia, a victorian music hall-style theatre with a capacity of 1,300, is the most elaborate of the remaining theatres in Dublin.

The Gate Theatre is located in Parnell Square and has been, both artistically and architecturally, a landmark building in Dublin for over two hundred years. It was established as a theatre in 1928 and today continues to attract the finest of creative talent and offers a significative programme of Irish and foreign important artist and writers as Bernard Shaw, Oscar Wilde, Arthur Miller, Charlotte Bronte or Tennesee Williams. It is housed in a beautiful 18th century building in Cavendish Row.

The Helix has recently opened on DCU campus, bringing the cultural focus up north of the city.
It looks amazing when it is lit up at night.
All sorts of concerts, exhibitions and shows are held there.

The Gaiety dates back to 1871 and its website proclaims it as "the city’s premier venue for popular musical shows, opera, ballet, dance and drama." Their website is very comprehensive and even gives 360 degree views of the interior from various vantage place. It looks like a magnificent place to watch a show.

Historically, the Gate Theatre was always a daring venue, often putting on shows that had been banned in London. Today, it remains an internationally known venue and theatre company.

I didn't go, but I was walking by when people were lined up to go inside and it looked like a large and lively crowd. This place opened in 1879 and hosts mostly music and comedy acts.
