    Memorial Gardens Island Bridge

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

These gardens are dedicated to the memory of 50,000 Irish Soldiers who died in the 1914 to 1918 war. The gardens were designed by the famous architect, Sir Edwin Lutyens who also designed the gardens in Howth Castle and Laybay Island. Read more about these places in my travel logs. The gardens are also of architectural interest.

Take the bus from Batchlors walk the number 51. You want to go to an area called Islandbridge. You can enter the gardens from Con Colbert Road and the South Circular Road.
