    101 Talbot: Pre-theatre

If you've got to eat before going to the Abbey theatre, this is the place to do it. Food and ambience will get you in a convivial mood and then its only a quick dash round the corner to the theatre ;-)

  • 101 Talbot: Pre-Theatre Dinner - Good Value

101 Talbot has been around for a long time and consistently gets good reviews, and for good reason. The food is varied and you are certain to find something to suit your tastes; it also has a significant vegetarian selection. The wine list is also very reasonable.

In addition to already reasonable prices, 101 Talbot also does a "pre-theatre" dinner from (I think) 6pm to 7.30 (although you won't be kicked out at 7.30). For €21, you can get a two-course dinner with tea/coffee and it's super value for really tasty food.

The restaurant itself is bustling and not terribly luxurious, but the food makes up for that.

Favorite Dish: Carribean chicken in five spices with coconut and pineapple sauce - a great mix of spicy, sweet and creamy!

Everything about this place emmits style.and comfort.Superb service and decore which of course is reflected in the prices. I had the "tornados rossini" and my friends the 22oz serlion. With pre-dinner drinks and desserts and cheese board, two bottles of the least expensive wines (e35 and 45 per bottle !) and tip included, our bill worked out at 130e each. Excellent food and outstanding service. There are no paper towels or hot air in the wash room, but individual real towels which you place in the bin after !!

    Favorite Dish: Steaks are good.

    101 Talbot Restaurant: Fancy Place

by Carino Updated Feb 16, 2004 833 reviews

As usual we checked Lonely Planet on recommendation about Restaurant. 101 Talbot Restaurant sounded good to us and we were very lucky to get a table in this busy place without having a reservation.

Favorite Dish: I had Pasta, which was a special menu. It was very good! Lovely place!
