Bad Ass Cafe, Temple Bar ---
LeCaprice, Wicklow St ---
Mexico to Rome, Temple Bar/ Fleet St ---
Eddie Rocket's... it's a poor version of an american diner, but they do have really good chicken wings... go to the one on Dame Street as the O'Connell Street one usually has crap service ---
there's an italian restaurant on George's St... i don't know what it's called but it has a neon sign that says Pizza Wine Bar Pasta on it... for all i know this is the name of the place... but anyway it's really good and not too hard to find with that damn sign sticking out ---
if you're south of Dublin in Dun Laoghaire there's a really good place there... Walter's... it's on George's St (i think that's the name of the main street) south of the shopping centre... it's rather pricey but the quality of food and the comfortable decor makes it worthwhile as a special night out. plus my friend is the manager. ---
there are many many others... there are very few bad restaurants in dublin
the tourist to dublin simply must go to the bad ass cafe... the food is a bit expensive but you get what you pay for as the quality is excellent. (and don't forget to try the bailey's cheese cake for dessert!) also you then have the privilege of telling all your friends, 'i've been to the bad ass cafe!'
Favorite Dish: Bad Ass - pinapple pizza and the bailey's ice cream torte (amazing!) ---
LeCaprice - tortelleni with white sauce ---
Mexico.. - lasange ---
Eddie Rocket's - chicken wings and a chocolate malt ---
Pizza Wine Bar Pasta - this pasta with white sauce dish... penne and some unpronouncable cheese (gorgonzla, maybe?) i think it's number five on the menu. they also have a lovely white house wine. ---
Walter's - i've only been there once but i had duck and it was wonderful.
The food is nice - the ambience is pleasant and you can watch the temple bar street from the window
Favorite Dish: I had a lasagna and salad and it was OK
