Butler's Chocolate Cafe: Best Hot Chocolate Around!

I'd actually heard of Butler's through VirtualToursit and was insistant we would have to go to one while we were in Dublin. After spending a few days exploring, we took a day to wander around Grafton and Naussau streets and check out some of the shops. It was an absolutely freezing day (fitting as it was the day all of the Christmas lights were turned on in the city), so I knew it was the perfect time to try Butlers.
We tried the Cookie Hot chocolate and loved it, and even better your hot chocolate comes with a free truffle. I had to go back one more time before we left the city and had my chance at Dublin airport (just had a regular hot chocolate). Early in the morning for so much chocolate, but so worth it! On that trip we also picked up some Butler's chocolate bars to bring back home! Delicious!

Favorite Dish: The Cookie Hot Chocolate was great... and an idea we've brought home with us. Hot chocolate poured over the cookies until they go all soft. Yum! Really sweet and the hot chocolate is really creamy - definitely a great drink for a cold day in Dublin!

My friend told us that the best place to have a good coffee but not for a good price is in Butlers, we payed about 3 euros each for a cappuchino and a for a mocca but it was worth and for every coffee you have they give you a chocolate. They have a good selection of chocolates, cookies, toffees and cakes to take away. At the airport on departures after passing the passport control, there are a butlers coffee where you can have the last coffee before leaving Dublin and on some shops there are an special offer with chocolates.

We were on our way to the Airlink stop for our ride to airport when we spotted this place. WE didn't have time to eat breakfast before leaving the hotel, so we decided to stop in and grab a cup of coffee and maybe something sweet.

They have a few locations in Dublin as well as in the airport and it's a nice place to grab a good cup of coffee and either a pastry or chocoate.

The one we visited was located on Henry Street just off of O'Connell. The server was so nice and even gave us a small piece of chocolate with our coffees.

Favorite Dish: I had a latte and Ferni had a regular cup of coffee. We each sampled a hazelnut covered chocolate which was quite good.

Butlers Chocolate Cafe: Free Truffle with Hot Chocolate!

    Butlers on Grafton Street

I know there are at least three of these in central Dublin, but I only shopped in the one on Grafton Street. The hot chocolate was pretty good and, with the free truffle thrown in, a decent bargain.

Favorite Dish: You can also buy Butler's chocolates here, although I don't think they are any cheaper than the convenience stores. My favorite Butler's bar is the dark chocolate truffle bar with the whiskey filling. My friends at home, however, all prefered the Irish Coffee truffle bars.
