Eddie Rocket's: Taste of 60's America
At Eddie Rocket's customers of all ages can find a time machine to old style America , with comfy dining booths, jukeboxes with favorite tunes and a delicious (but not to healthy) menu you can experience the best of
It is expensive, but worth it! You get value for money, the burgers are huge. My suggestion get a "Double Take", which is a double burger, and side order of fries.
Milkshakes are devine and are made with real ice cream..not that machine stuff. And the deserts are brilliant and Service is excellent!
Everyone can find something for themselves: veggie burgers, chicken fillett and fish burgers . For those you want to explore real american tastes, try chilly dogs and a footlong.
The best thing about Eddie Rocket's is that it is open 24/7 so whenever you get hungry, just stop by!
Favorite Dish: My favorite is "The Atomic" since I love spicy food, this burger is topped with Chilli Sauce & Jalapenos, as they say at Rockett's: Hot, it will blow you away (€7.15) !
Eddie Rockett's: Ireland's most popular American Diner
Eddie Rockett's is a popular chain of American style diners in Ireland. Many of them are open 24hours during the weekend. I visited the Stillorgan restaurant which is open until 1am through the week and open until 4am at the weekend. Re-opening at 9am for the usual trade. There is a waiter/waitress who will come to your table to take your order. The bill can be easily split if everyone is not paying together.
The restaurant is set out like a traditional American Diner with red leather interior and juke boxes. They sell mainly burgers, fried chicken, milkshakes, fries and curly fries.
Favorite Dish: The milkshakes are out of this world. I had an Oreo milkshake which came half in a glass and half in a metal tumbler topped with whipped cream and an Oreo biscuit on top. There was so much of it that I couldn't finish it.
I had the Cheeze Pleeze burger with chips and onion rings and an Oreo milkshake which cost about 14 euros. It is quite expensive but when you are in Dublin the price is about average.

Eddie Rocket's: American Fastfood in the style of the 50s
This fastfood restaurant is decorated in the style of the 50s - with red leather sofas and a jukebox over every table, playing songs from the 50s and 60s. In expensive Dublin, the prices are affordable but still not what I would call a bargain. They are open til late in the evening, but be careful, they charge a 10% extra after midnight due to insurance reasons!
Favorite Dish: I had the chicken burger and some fries, which was quite good. Stay away from the tuna sandwich though, it is far too expensive for the small piece of bread you get.
