For several generations Buckley's butchers have supplied the vittles, chops, and other manifestations of dead animal that have literally fuelled Dubliners in their journey from cradle to grave. In recent years the family have taken their business to its logical conclusion and opened a few restaurants where their product is expertly prepared to facilitate its passage from abattoir to stomach, and the one I like best is the original one here in Pembroke Street. Although they specialise in meat they also do poultry and some exquisite fish dishes. By Dublin standards the meals are moderately priced but I have always found them to be excellent, as is the service by which they are conveyed.

Favorite Dish: Tender steak in a wine and mushroom sauce.

Down Pembroke Street, very pleasant staff friendly and helpful.
Fine to go on your own or with others it has a cellar type atmosphere but very clean, lots of white and wood.

Favorite Dish: I had a wonderful ceaser salad to start, followed by chicken in white wine sauce with muchrooms and chips which was absolutely amazing!
