Gallagher's Boxty House, Dublin

Typical restaurant in Temple Bar District of Dublin, supposedly offering typical Irish atmosphere and food, and of course, live music. There are so many restaurants in Temple Bar, just take a stroll and find one that appeals to you.

Gallagher's Boxty House. Touristy traditional place. Squeeking wooden chairs, so you're afraid you'll destroy them by sitting on them. A boxty is basically a pancake. Just so you know. (And for the traditional pancake lovers: yes, there's sugar on every table, just in case...)
Did I mention the traditional Irish atmosphere? I did?

Favorite Dish: Chicken Boxty. Tender Pieces of Chicken, Peppers & Mushrooms Cooked Slowley in a creamy Irish Mist Sauce.

Note the Slowley. It's Touristy traditional, remember. Nice atmosphere and nice food. Really.

The Boxty House serves traditional Irish dishes, and everything I had in there so far tasted absolutely delicious. You will have to make a reservation, though, as they are usually complete booked out in the evenings.

ENGLISH VERSION : GALLAGHER'S BOXTY HOUSE - Nice place in TEMPLE BAR (city center) where to eat irish specialities as IRISH STEW - BOXTY (or Ar·n bocht tÌ in Gealic)and so on.
- Very well furnished, and a pleasant fire place (helpful even in October) - A bit expensive though -
- Get there more for the athmosphere than for the stews, you'll find some better made and cheaper at the OVAL BAR (see above). - Often full better make a reservation. (I must say I didnt try their boxties)
VERSION FRANCAISE : GALLAGHER'S BOXTY HOUSE - Un endroit agréable dans le quartier de TEMPLE BAR (centre ville) où l'on peut y déguster des spécialités irlandaises telles que l'IRISH STEW - BOXTY etc ...
-Bel ameublement intérieur, et une cheminée (agréable, même en Octobre)- Un peu cher cependant.
Allez-y plus pour l'ambiance que pour le STEW que vous trouverez meilleur et moins cher à l'OVAL BAR (voir plus haut) - Souvent bondé, prévoyez de réserver.
