This is an absolute must! It has the best fish and chips there's no indoor seating and the place is small but it's great if you're visiting Dublinia or Christ Church's Cathedral because it's right across the street.
Favorite Dish: The fish and chips of course!

This place has T H E best fish and chips I've ever had. Absolutely phenomenal. The fish is thick, flaky, and full of flavor. The fried part is not overdone and not too little. Perfect. The fries are thick and crispy. They seem to know how to put the exact amt. of salt and vinegar on. They wrap it all up and paper and off you go son.
It's a meal. The fish is big and they give you a great portion of fries. Don't remember it being overly expensive, but since its got a rep, I think they're more than other places. Deservedly so. Funny thing about it was that there were Asian guys behind the counter serving the fish. Nothing wrong with that, but I just expected to see a big Irishman barking out orders, scooping up loot, and moving people out the door like the soup nazi on Seinfeld.
Favorite Dish: I had the cod and it was very good.

I had heard of the Leo Burdock Fish & chip shop that is located near Christ Church Cathedral but I noticed another small branch in the Epicurian food hall not far from O'Connell St & handier for where I was staying on the north side of the Liffey. The food was lovely, not too expensive and there is seating in the food hall
Favorite Dish: I had scampi [if you want chips with it you have to ask for them seperately] and also the seafood chowder which was absolutely delicious!! If all their food is that good I can see why its so popular!!

I had been told it wasfFamous for serving the best fish and chips in Dublin, so i practically ran there at soon as i got hungry and..seeing people queing I could not think otherwise.
It was really a good experience, dish is great, fresh cod, smoked cod, haddock, with a large portion of great chips.
I just had to make effort to finish everything, really.
The place has no tables so you have to sit somewhere around to eat warm and the most decent place is Christchurch garden.
Was back there twice!

They know this, so they charge a little more but it is worth it.
There are usually queues around teatime so be prepared.

If you don’t bother about little and irrelevant details such as your blood pressure and cholesterol level, maybe you should give a try to the grassy and actually delicious local fish & chips of Leo Burdock. The placement of their main restaurant could not be more convenient and if the food and the location doesn’t appeal you, maybe the list of famous people that once enter the restaurant will:
“TOM CRUISE, DAVID GINOLA, ROBBIE KEANE, LIAM NEESON, NEIL JORDAN, NAOMI CAMPBELL, BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, U2, DEF LEPPARD”
Or so they assure in their web site. I cannot imagine Naomi Campbell holding a paper cone full of grassy chips, though. ;-)
Favorite Dish: I’m afraid their menu is composed mainly with fish & chips.

it's your typical fish and chips take-away place. Apparently the secret of their wonderful fish is in the secret batter they use. But I would add that what helps its taste is the distinctive newspaper taste the fish aquires while you take it home.
leo Burdock is an dublin institution: it claims to have as its customers tom cruise, robbie keane, liam neeson, neil jordan, naomi cambell, bruce springsteen, def leppard and U2. Having eaten there many times, I don't fail to doubt it.
Favorite Dish: smoked cod and chips. With salt and vinegar

I've been dreaming about Leo Burdock's Fish & Chips for YEARS ever since an Irish resto in my hometown declared themselves as the best fish & chips outside of Burdock's in Dublin. High praise, indeed. So the first thing we did when we made it to Dublin was to head to Werburgh Street for the best fish & chips in the world. And it was! So good we ate there 3 times.
Apparently, the thing to do is to take your fish & chips to Christ Church, sit on a bench and sup there. If it's late, then go up the street and around the corner to your left. You'll find some steps suitable for late night dining. You'll know you're in the right place when you see the taxis lined up in front of you. When you're done, take a cab home!
Fish & chips are 10euro.
Favorite Dish: Fish & chips - the chips are probably a little underdone for me; I think next time I'll ask if they can crisp them up a bit for me. Otherwise, they're just perfect. And doused with vinegar & salt the fish is sublime. Mmm... Wish I could go back just for that.
