This is a really nice place for brunch on Sundays or if you have a mad hangover on Saturday , it is also very popular so you should book in advance. The staff are very friendly and the ambience is also nice. If your looking for a a different experience see if you can get a seat downstairs. They have huge comfortable sofas and chairs to relax on and a good wine list.

Odessa: One of the best places in town

One of the best places in town to go for Saturday or Sunday Brunch (12-16.30) has to be Odessa! The menu hasn't changed in a good while but if you've never been there it's worth it.

This gem is quite trendy and looks like it came straight from the sixties - especially if you're seated downstairs. The staff is friendly and the brunches are very reasonably priced. For any other day, make sure to try the very reasonable priced early bird menu. It's great value and the portions are generous. One backdraw is that the wine is quite expensive when it starts at EUR20 a bottle.

Favorite Dish: The eggs Fiorentina are delicious, as are the Tex-Mex items.

Odessa: Excellent affordable and trendy restaurant

There's a real sense of life and a genuine buzz to Odessa… the striking and inventive décor is immediately apparent... the food here is simple but tasty. Dublin's funkiest and most leisurely brunch party takes place at Odessa every weekend... the atmosphere is fuelled by lively conversation and up-beat music.

I just love the feel. You know the quality's excellent, but you can relax at the same time, and you have a choice over very differing atmospheres on two floors - downstairs is more relaxed, and upstairs just that little bit more formal. Nice, and not to expensive, especially for the quality.

Favorite Dish: Vension Sausages with musharooms and red wine sauce; but I also love the Odessa Burger
with Smoked Bacon on a type of ciabatta bun with tomato sauce, chips and a salad - a real filler!

Odessa: Don't let the name make you think of Goulash

by bcorbitt Updated May 4, 2010

Not exactly sure how to describe it other than pan european as the name of the restuarant shares itself with a city in Ukraine and a neighborhood in New York full of ex soviet union immigrants you would think food from there. It is possible the dishes were upscale Ukrainian food but the food was to me was good wholesome food. There are two areas to the place as the upstairs is your normal upscale restaurant while the downstairs goes for more a cigar lounge vibe with leather couches and low ceilings and no windows. They have an all day prix fix other than weekends where they stop it at 6:30 or 7pm. It is a good value with both a two course and three course options. I went for the two course since get free bread to tide you over. My duck was perfect and the brownie was decadent. Wine by the glass was not too expensive and service was good especially considering was eating by myself which often can me absent service.

Favorite Dish: Only had the one but would come back for the dessert anytime.
