Tante Zoes: Don't miss this one

    by freespirit1 Written Sep 8, 2008 25 reviews

I saw a sign 10 euros, was hungry and tired so went in. The place was dead so I thought it would be so so especially for 10 euros but I got a large soup for starters and shared a real home made burger that was huge and a blackened chicken. Both delicious

Favorite Dish: The huge burger was tasty and the crunchy vegetables on the side were lovely

    Restaurant

The inside of the restaurant l found dark and not so funky. The food however makes up for it. Lunch specials for E10, which include starter main and or tea or coffee.Sunday brunch with live Jazz.

Favorite Dish: Starters include the cheese log which is bread and cheese, sounds boring with its not.. the cheese is filled woth spices and herbs. The shrimp remoulade is delicious. Aldo on the menu is Cajun popcorn which is baby shrimp with cajun seasoning coated in spicy breadcrumbs and deep fried. Prices start at around 6 Euro to 8 Euro. For the main couse l tried the blackened chicken with a spicy sauce if you want vegtables thats extra. Also on the main course they served Turkey, Fish, Steak, Duck, and salads. Prices start around 14 Euro to about 20 Euro for the Steak.

    Tante Zoé's: Cajun Creole

Tante Zoé's, for the best Cajun food this side of the Mississippi - according to many, that is.
The atmosphere is good and the food is something different from all the fast-food joints elsewhere in Dub.

Favorite Dish: The gumbo's are great and so are the main dishes, but they have some excellent desserts as well: the Mississippi mud pie is yummie!

Tante Zoe is a Cajun restaurant in Temple Bar, probably the only one in whole Dublin. It serves the traditional cajun kitchen from the southern part of the USA. Spicy chicken, beef and fish, tasteful veggies and their dessert is really great ! Try the Mud Pie, it is like heaven....

    Favorite Dish: Blackened chicken !

'Tante Zoe's' in Temple Bar district. If u like cajun style food, this is the place to be! Great spicey dishes. Not really cheap, but good value for money!
Original cajun New Orleans music in the background.

Favorite Dish: Try the 'blackened fish' (or chicken)Hmmmm! Leave room for the desserts too!
