Monuments / Statues: James Joyce
James Joyce, the great and famous irish Nobel prize writer is present in Dublin with a tour, plaques, museum and statues. I am in accord with it but I think in other important irish writers as Yeats, Shaw or Wilde. Or it is only because he wrote Dubliner?

Monuments / Statues: The Statue of Parnell
Parnell square was named after this guy (I don't remember what he did exactly!). Note the harp next to his statue, one of thé cultural signs in Dublin. We actually saw the real harp, which is depicted on the Irish form of the Euro, Europe's currency (as if you didn't know).

    Monuments / Statues: The Spire
The Dublin Spire was erected between December 2002 and January 2003 as a replacement for Nelson's Pillar which was blown up in 1966. The Dublin Spire is one hundred and twenty metres tall, being by far the tallest structure in Dublin city centre. It is three metres wide at the base and tapers to a 15 centimentre wide beacon at the top. The top section is perforated and lit by small LEDs.

    Monuments / Statues: Molly Mallone
The Molly Mallone statue is at the end of Grafton Street. Molly Mallone features in the famous Dublin song about cockles and mussles. The statue was renamed by locals as the tart with the cart. This is because the story goes that at night Molly used to walk the streets in the trinity college area as a prostitute.

Monuments / Statues: Statue of James Joyce
The statue of James Joyce is on North Earl Street. Every literature lover should visit it as the modern literature would be different if not the works of this great author.
