Cavistons of Glasthule: For all your culinary needs

by Ruai Written Sep 2, 2006

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Cavistons is an institution in Dun Laoghaire, where it has for many years been known as the place to go for fish. It's also has a great delicatessan and a small but v good restaurant for lunch. Its a handy spot to pop into on your way to and from the James Joyce Martello tower in Sandycove (Increasingly the area seems to be known as Sandycove cos its trendier but I've always known it as Glasthule and I don't feel like changing :)

    What to buy: Fish!

What to pay: Middling prices tho depends what you're getting

by Ruai Updated Sep 9, 2006

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

This shop has a great range of models of all sorts. To be honest some of them would be a bit beyond most kids but theres something to suit most price ranges and interests. They have a strong range of military vehicles, aircraft, figurines and just about anything else you might want.

What to pay: Good models ain't cheap!
