This is NOT a commercial message, but in Galway, well, Galway is famous for one thing, (maybe others) Crystal. Galway Crystal should be bought in Galway, Ireland, the same way as Swiss Army knives should be bought in Switzerland. The stores that sell the crystal have some really neat pieces in them, fairly expensive, but worth the money, especially if you get high-quiality crystal.
Yes, there are palm trees here! I wouldn't vouch for them as being native vegetation, but they do stay alive in Irelands wet, temperate climate.
The cliffs are also home to several kinds of sea birds.
