One of the most impressive aspects of a visit to Dún Aonghasa is how it is dramatically situated on the 300ft high sheer cliff. However this clif face is unuarded and there have been accidents in the pasts with tourists getting blown over or tripping over the edge of the cliff and being killed on the rocks far below. It probably won't stop you having a peek over the edge but you must be extremely careful when walkng close to the cliff edge at the fort. Children should be kept close at hand as they could unwittingly wander too close to the cliff edge.

Inishmore, a step back in time?
Inishmore (Inis Mór) is the largest of the three Aran Islands and is located off the west coast of Galway. We had a very great and lovely time on Inishmore riding our bike over these roads....
We spent just one night on Inis Mor but had the chance to explore a good portion of the island by bike and on foot. Our bed and breakfast was exceptional and our time here was a much-desired break...

Inishmore (or Inis Mórin Irish) is the largest of the three Aran islands. Its principal village is Kilronan where there is a good, deep harbour.
