If you plan to drive around the Gaeltacht areas be aware it's not very well signposted and, where it is, often on Irish only. I spent an unenjoyable couple of hours lost and confused as I hadn't bothered to learn the Irish names for the place I wanted to get to.

if you are looking for a specific address in the Latin Quarter of Galway city , you may have a little difficulty finding it because there are very few, if any street signs ( at least that I could see) It really is no big deal, because this area is not that huge and it is a fun place to wander around too!

Helpfulness
While driving around the small narrow roads please be careful of the local sheep. Some will wander out into the road and a few times I had to break hard to avoid them.
