As we were rather late getting into Ballybunion, the owner of the Olde Attic pub and b+b recommended the pub opposite. When we walked in the owners were actually eating in the bar, after closing the restaurant. But it seemed no problem at all to rustle up some food for us washed down with a pint or two of Guinness. Although only a basic beef stew, it was probably the best meal we had in 10 days in Ireland. If you look at the website they do have accomodation and a seafood restaurant, but I have no idea of prices. The website gives a small synopsis of the pub that has been in the family for over 150 years.
For our beef stew we paid 28€ for the two meals and 2 pints of Guinness plus a small lager.
Favorite Dish: The beef stew was made on a bed of mash potato, that were real potatos, not from a box, with succulent lumps of beef and peas over the top with a nice sauce. I needed the two pints to get it all down.
