We recently spend a week in Ireland.
We flew into Shannon, hired a rental car and drove to Dingle in County Kerry.
Kerry has to be the most beautiful county in Ireland.
We stayed in rental accommodation at Waters Edge in Dingle.
The apartments were fabulous, with everything we required to cook and enjoy ourselves. Waters Edge must be one of the best rental apartments in Ireland. We knew immediately from their website that there was every attention to detail. Even when we booked, we were given information on what to expect.
We spent the week touring Kerry. The Ring of Kerry tour was a wonderful day. We stopped for lunch in a quiet country pub. The locals were very friendly.
Each evening we ate at a different restaurant in Dingle. The food was top class, with seafood being a specialty in many restaurant.
Overall, a great week and we hope to go back in the next few years.
Fondest memory: I really liked weather. Ireland is so peaceful and natural. Only problem is Rain. If i get chance to shift in another country it would be Ireland or spain

A few weeks back I planned a short trip to Dingle town with my friends. We stayed at Castlewood House in a luxurious set up located on the shores of Dingle Bay. When we arrived at the place, we were greeted with a warm cup of tea. We had booked two deluxe rooms and we were overwhelmed with spacious and stylish designs of the rooms. The rooms had fabulous facilities such as ensuite bathroom, multi channel TV, radio, DVD and CD player, direct dial telephone, modem access and other services coupled with the best of hospitality. The food served in breakfast was of very good quality and was very yummy.
We planned to go for a tour of the city and visited the Connor Pass which took about 1 hour. The spectacular scenery views of mountains were soothing to eyes. Then we headed for the drive from Ventry to Slea Head . We also enjoyed golfing, horse riding, fishing and other activities during our trip.
I shall be planning a trip again to this place with family in a year or so .

Fondest memory: We enjoyed fishing, golfing and view of hills from west of Dingle, near Slea Head.
Favorite thing: Dingle is one of the most peaceful places I have ever been to. I am getting more and more picky about where I travel to and have found lately that I prefer places with minimal people and less going on. (Although that doesn't explain my obession with Prague and Vienna.) It's a great place for walking, hiking, or just sitting on a bench and watching the water. If you're into art galleries, museums, clubs, opera, and couture shopping then it's probably NOT the place to visit. But if you're into scenic landscapes, friendly people, and tranquility then you should definitely add it to your Ireland itinerary.
One thing that always fascinates me is the way these real countryside pubs are quite often a pub combined with a hardware store and a convenience store and a bicycle repair shop and a farm implement store and everything you can think of in one.
Visit Foxy John's in Dingle for instance and you'll get a good example.
Favorite thing: This isn't a "real" dolman, but a facsimile erected in front of a small museum...somewhere on the Dingle drive. The museum has artifacts from the prehistoric period to now, relics of man's existance on Dingle. While not on my Top Ten list of things to do, and a bit expensive for what you get - it was a good way to get past one of those sudden showers!
