Cappanalea is a wonderful activity centre located on the shores of Caragh lake in one of the most beautiful parts of Kerry county. The highly professional staff arrange outdoor adventure for all levels of fitness and experience, such as hiking, canoeing, windsurfing and sailing. You can choose to spend a day with them, or you can arrange for a longer stay as the centre has fully equiped dormitories.

A popular and highly recommended activity in Glenbeigh, is to take a horse ride along the beach at Rossbeigh. You will find Burke's activity centre just a short walk from the beach itself and they can arrange an outing that suits you and your ability. The staff are friendly and professional and along with the horse riding you will also find a small farm and a cafe at the centre.

I did not eat here - we stopped mostly for a bathroom break, and I spent my time taking pictures. There was also the Kerry Bog Village and Kerry Bog Ponies available to visit, but neither was included on our tour.
The Bog Village is "Ireland's only thatched village and is a National Herritage Award Winner"
Favorite Dish: The Red Fox Inn is situated immediately beside the Kerry Bog Village and is an ideal place to stop and enjoy a drink or a tasty meal. Our Irish Coffee is a well-known speciality and a discount is available to visitors who purchase a ticket for the Village
