  • Ring of Kerry

    Killarney Things to Do

The ring of kerry is a wonderful scenic route thew takes in the Kerry peninsular. There are 2 main ways of doing it, by bus or by car. If you do it by car, make sure you drive in the same direction as the buses, and not in the opposite direction as the roads can get very narrow, and trying to get past a bus on parts of it would be a trial...

Valentia Island

  • stevemt's Profile Photo

by stevemt Written Jun 25, 2014

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The Skellig experience on Valentia Island is worth a visit.

It gives you an insite into the settling of Skellig Michael by the monks, what they had to endure and the creation of the remote (now un-inhabited) monastry.

Information is also given on bird life, sea life and lighthouse life in the area.

There is a restaurant at the information centre as well, and you can also get a sea cruise out in the ocean.

    Well worth it.
