Few minutes walking distance from the centre of Kildare is a Kildare Village - Outlet shopping centre.
There are ... I would say some 30 outlets of shops that you can find in Dublin. Prices are, of course, lower than in Dublin.
Mostly, they are clothes shops, but some have sportsware, shoes, things for home.
There is also nice Italian restaurant where you can have a lunch and next to the outlet village is a playground for kids.
What to pay: Depends on the shop, but anyway less than in Dublin in same shops.

Despite being a reasonably large town (with some fun pubs!), Kildare doesn’t host a hell of a lot of B&B’s or hotels. So book ahead especially during busy race weekends.
