 Decorated House by himalia11 Hurling is an ancient Gaelic sports and very popular in Ireland. We happened to be in Kilkenny two days before an important hurling match. It was the “All-Ireland Championship”, where Kilkenny and Cork were in the final. When driving through County Cork, we already noticed several cars and houses decorated with white-red flags (the colours of Cork) but in Kilkenny and around, it was even more. You could see so much flags in the colours of Kilkenny, black and amber, and in some houses there were also posters of hurling players in the window. And it seemed that every third person in the city wore a tricot with black and amber stripes! All the fans of the Kilkenny team must be quite depressed now, as Cork won… Leave a Comment

 Kilkenny Hurlers by barryg23 Have I yet mentioned hurling? Kilkenny is Ireland's top hurling county and the sport is very popular here. Conversely, Kilkenny has the worst Gaelic Football team in the country and doesn't even enter the All-Ireland. It is said that our hurlers could beat the footballers at football. Leave a Comment
