Hurling, Kilkenny

this is one of the major championship hurling counties in ireland, for those who don't know what sport this is, it is the fastest land game in the world, played with a stick called a hurley this is traditionally made from ash timber. the ball is small and made from leather, this is called a Sliotar.
the female version of the game is more or less the same and is called Camogie, there is a version played in Scotland aswell called Shinty.
hurling is a great game very fast and very skilled.
