As an avid cyclist, I know most of the back roads of the southern half of the county, and this one is probably the toughest. Heading out of the village of Owning is a 2 kilometre climb which will make you want to give up several times before you get to the top. I've climbed it several times, and it would normally take me over 9 minutes, with speed dropping down to below 10km/h at times. Scary.
Don't know the gradient but i'd like to.

There are 8 golf courses (full length, par 70 plus) in the county. First and foremost, the world famous Mount Juliet, home of 1993-1995 Irish Opens and 2002 & 2004 WGC - American Express Championships.
