Oldest part of the Limerick is around King John's Castle. I have'nt discovered everything yet. But this castle sure dominates the view of the city.
Thomond Bridge is the earliest bridge in river Shannon. The current bridge was built in 1836, replacing the earlier bridge which was also alongside King John's Castle. The bridge now forms part of the R445 (formerly N7), carrying traffic on the Northern Relief Road.

July & August remains open until 6.00pm (Last admission 500pm).
