Rain Gear, Limerick

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Most everyone when they think of Ireland they think of rain, rain and more rain but it's not always like that.

If you are coming during the summer it is best to bring a mixture of clothing. This year we had very good weather during the summer months with only a couple of rainy days. So it was shorts and t-shirts for most everyone.

Just to be on the safe side it is advisable to bring an umbrella and maybe a waterproff jacket.

Bring comfortable shoes if you are touring around.

Photo Equipment: Make sure you bring plenty of film for your camera. There are some beautiful shots to be taken of Limerick, you won't want to miss out. If you have an expensive camera, it is probably best not to flash it around in the city centre.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Limerick is surprisingly windy, so dont mess your hair and wear a woolly hat!

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: ...a good sharp knife.... ;-)

Photo Equipment: Here is a random photo of Glenstal Abbey, Murroe, Co Limerick. It's a boys boarding school for most of the year but it is very famous for its adjoining monastery, collection of Russian iconography, gardens, Midnight Christmas mass. Indeed the monks have even released an album of Gregorian chants!

Miscellaneous: Limerick is usually best seen through the rear-view mirror.... ;)
