  • Dolen's: Dolan's- Pub and Dancing

by ugflbij Written Apr 14, 2015

Dolan's is where you can find that quintessential Irish pub that you came to Ireland for that is not too touristy. They often have musicians jamming in the front but they also have a room in the back for concerts. The musicians up front play a lot of Irish songs. The musicians in back vary in gene and tickets are reasonably priced but vary by event. The majority of events are 18+. This place is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside and even has another room which can best be described as a stone courtyard with neon. The back room also hosts traditional Irish dance classes you can take. The classes are easy for even the worst dancers and more fun than difficult.

Dolen's is not only a traditional Irish restaurant it is also venue for traditional music, which is performed most nights after 9 pm. It is a great ambiance for both locals and tourists. Dolen's also has a large room for concerts, which feature both traditional and contemporary groups.

We had drinks and dinner in this place. It was pretty active for a Monday night. They offered live Irish music.

Favorite Dish: I had some chicken baked with pine nuts.... my friend Andy had this special fish!
