Sports Arena of the University of Limerick

    by Kristina1701 Updated Sep 29, 2003 387 reviews

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The sports arena is a relatively new building and houses Ireland's largest indoor swimming pool (50m). Furthermore there's a cardio fitness centre, a 4 court sports hall, a 225 metre 3 lane suspended jogging track as well as a 60m, 6 lane indoor sprint track. Outdoor facilities include football/rugby pitches, tennis courts, 400m athletic track and a floodlight Astro Turf pitch.

You can also check out the 50-m pool in the University of Limerick on the Dublin road. I tried it out recently and it is absolutely fantastic - was knackered by the end of the session though as I am not used to a 50m. I'll definitely go back though.

?6 for a session and you can stay as long as you like.

Equipment: Flip-flops, bathing suit (of course!) Swimming cap essential.
