The village of Adare in Co Limerick is very pretty, but no prettier than a lot of villages in the UK. Parking is an absolute nightmare. I found the area much more expensive for tourist trinkets and food than all other areas we had explored in Ireland. The Blaney Woollen Mills are much cheaper for trinkets.
Unique Suggestions: Take a bus/coach. It's 20 mins from Limerick - or simply don't go. Wait until you go to the UK where the villages are just as pretty, but much cheaper and most have better parking.
Unfortunately I believe that Adare is turning into another Bunratty. It's gone too kitschy & cute for my liking. Though Adare Manor is certainly worth seeing, I'd advise you to take the village with a large pinch of salt - not all irish villages are as twee as Adare.
