This gate built in 13th century is second survived medieval town gate. It really is not that impressive as St Laurence’s Gate. Butter gate is on the other side of the river and it can be seen from Drogheda bus station.

Visit the Hills of Tara, to the west of Drogheda.
The ancient Hill of Tara is best known as the seat of the 'High Kings of Ireland'. It has been an important site since the last Stone Age when a passage tomb was constructed there.
This belfry tower was a part of Dominican Friary built in 13th. The tower itself is built later – in 14th century. It is located in the Northern part of town centre.
Nobbe's Things to Do Tip
Near the entrance of Hill of Tara, we found this white horse eating the green grass. In the background you can see the local church built beside the ancient rings of Tara.
