This huge Dolmen (cap-stone is 47tons, 3000BC) is said locally
that it was carried here by Scots giant, para Bui Mor Seoidin.
(He came here to challenge Irish giant Fionn mac Cumhail.)

If you seach of a wife or husband, throw a small pebble onto the cap-stone.
If it remains on the top, you will be married within the year !
(I tried it, but nothing yet happens in Today........)

This is the site of a medieval monastery, now ruined, with the tallest round tower in Ireland and two stunning Celtic crosses. Both crosses have been beautifully carved with images from the Bible and are in remarkably good condition.
