There is a seal-cave on the north coast of Achill Island.
The cave may be reached only by sea. The boats will leave from Dugort. Simply ask at the campingsite there or at the post-office. But better make an arrangement in advance. Even in summer there are no regular boats.

If you are interested in all sorts of old stones (like me) you can also visit some megalithic sites. This is a dolmen that was indicated on the map that we had at the time, but I cannot for the life of me remember where it was on the island or what it was called. What I remember is that we had to park the car by the road and scramble up a steep hill on an overgrown path the start of which was difficult to find (as also overgrown).
