Outside of Dublin Chinese restaurants in Ireland tend to be pretty dire. Old fashioned, overpriced and with great big dollops of MSG thrown in. The lack of competition must account for much of this.
One notable exception I have found is 'Lees Enfield' I've only had a take-away but they produced mountains of well-cooked food for a reasonable price, and quickly too.
I was also quite intrigued by the name of the restaurant. A 'Lee Enfield' was type of gun as used by the British army that was manufactured in Enfield, London. I suspect that the owner has either never realised this, and happened to be called 'Lee'. No more scatology for now.
