There aren't many tourist traps in Ireland. Every Irish person i met was very friendly and welcoming. However, watch out for the leprechauns! They'll trick you and rob you! However, if you are quick and alert, you might be able to find their pots of gold!
Unless you're going out here to go to the beach, then I'd say don't bother going out to here. I didn't think it was all that scenic really, and the wind just whips in off the water here. I tried to read my book sitting on a bench, and fought the wind the entire 2.5 hours I sat there. At which time it was later in the day and time to go. Traffic back to the main roadway got really backed up, because it's only one lane in each direction and comes to a traffic light at an intersection at the end of it. There were cars backed up miles behind me. It added a good 45 mins. extra.
Yet, this is a big area where people camp in tents and pull up their RV's. People were coming here to enjoy the beach, which looked decent enough. Camping makes everything better!
Unique Suggestions: Leave to get back to the main road before everyone else.
