The Irish are probably the most hospitable folk I have ever met. Don't make the mistake of ordering anything too strong when you first go into the pub, because in a very short space of time, you will have several of the same lined up in front of you and it's no use telling them you don't want anymore, because you'll get it anyway. I made the mistake of asking for a white wine the first time I went to the pub and by the end of the night, I had at least seven or eight glasses lined up in front of me, that I hadn't been able to drink. I soon learned to order Diet Coke the next time!
