While this is an amazing location to visit, and very off the beaten track, it is also pretty dangerous - especially if the weather turns wet (as it so often and quickly does in Ireland).
The uphill road is very tricky and especially dangerous when wet (think potholes, mud, crazy sheep, and a sheer drop off the cliff to one side).
When it started raining we ran for the car and by the time we'd started our descent the top of the mountain was already shrouded in mist. Talk about being driven off by mysterious forces!!! Very eerie.
