Favorite thing: When I arrived to the Square, I came from Church Street and this Statue was straight on the left corner of the Square.
At first I thought it is one of those street entertainers, what you can see in bigger cities streets.
Then I thought that , no way - here in Cahir
Fondest memory: Take a closer look - it is a real statue, for the memory of Edward Keating Hyland, born in Cahir 1780, famous for composing Fox Chase. Blind pipemaster and noted by King George IV.
Heres an alternate version of Fox Chase it still gives a idea of it:

Favorite thing: This fountain was erected in the middle of the square by Lady Margaret Butler-Charteris ( remember that the Butlers were the castle owner and city grew around it ). She let it build to memory of her late husband. But in addition it improved a lot a citizens supply of water.
Fondest memory: Just the middle of the square in the shadow of the trees.
