In 1995 the Thurles Church of Ireland community donated one third of this building to create a famine museum to commemorate those who lost their lives through disease & starvation, both here and abroad, during the Great Famine of 1845-1850.
It houses the largest collection of memorabilia pertaining to the Great Famine of 1845-49.

The farm is situated in CLONMEL and is called: THE APPLE FARM.
It is an extensive apple and arable farm, where you can go for superb walks along different places of interest.
To make this easy & pleasant for you you are supported by explanatory maps....
ADMISSION is free...
When you call it a day you can leave with the products you can buy at the SHOP.......

After CAVES AND APPLE FARMS, MUSEUMS AND CASTLES, it is time to burn the rubber again and...as you can see...the skies are blue, white and wild as far as the eye can see......which made me feel great!
