The French Quarter: New at the Excel

by missyk8

I live near Tipperary and I can tell you this is a coffee house with a difference! Run by a Frenchman & his irish vegetarian wife, you are guaranteed a treat here. Soup of the day is always vegetarian & gluten free, the coffee is exquisite, and the desserts are definitely french influence. Parking is very nearby.Just try it, you won't be disappointed. :) Bon appetit! Soup of the day followed by double espresso & "death by chocolate" cake. mmmmmmmmm

The Horse and Jockey Inn: Nice place to stop for lunch or dinner

Travelling along the Dublin, Cork road, about 6 miles from Thurles, this pub offers some decent foodTheres a lot of horse racing photos on the wall and it has a nice low key atmosphere. Soups, streaks and sandwiches
