Dungarvan Shopping Centre is a small but modern shopping and commercial area located near Gratton Square in the centre of Dungarvan. The centre has a large Dunnes Stores supermarket and a host of smaller shops locted inside and around the centre including a bookstore, sports store, music and media shop, butchers, pharmacy and numerous clothes shops.

What to buy: Local groups, musicians, singers include: Danu, Liam Clancy, Paddy O'Brien, Michael Mernan, Mattie Weldon, Gerry Harrington plus many many more - I recommend buying music - you'll be hard pushed to find a selection like this even in the big cities!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get a tin whistle - 7eur .....Bodhran kit 69eur - bodhran/beater/bag/dvd/lotion for the skin

What to pay: In and around 20eur for a cd - chart items are cheaper aswell as budget labels you'll get something from 6/7 eur upwards.

I moved to Dungarvan in September 2005 from my home place in Tipperary and loved the area straight away. Waterford in general is a popular holiday destination especially with the Irish themselves....

A town that has experiened enormous changes in a relatively short space of time. Building has maybe gone a little to crazy.......beautiful seaside market town - second biggest town in county...
Typical Irish town. Nice, quiet, with some old architecture. People seemed allright.
