 Nobbe Says:  Check out the bronze statue of a Wexford Pikeman in the city centre. New Ross was the scene of fierce fighting during the 1798 Rebellion when a group of rebels tried to take the town. They were repelled by the defending British garrison, leaving 3,000 people dead and much of...

 1 Review  Check out the 'Tholsel', (toll stall) on the corner of Quay Street and South Street. This building can be shown beyond the palmtrees in this photo. I was surprised to find palm trees growing here at shore of the river Barrow at New Ross, but they do! I'm still amazed.
