Hurling!
Sounds like an event after a night of drinking.. but no, this is something that's completely different!Hurling is one of the main sports in Ireland - it also the oldest field game played in Europe. It is a fast and aggressive sport. I've heard it described as a sort of 'aerial hockey' and that's sort of close. The players have sticks called a 'hurley' which they balance the ball on, or hit the ball whilst moving forward towards their goal. The goals are the same shape as those used for rugby, although the crossbar is lower.
