Breens: A good night out
I spent a good night in Breens about 10 years ago there was a keyboard player on for the evening playing Val Donican type music, my son asked if he could play a tune and of course the gent said yes son of course you can have a go......he played a good old Rock n Roll type boogie woogie and the place went crazy, they couldnt get enough of him......and he was only 8 years old.
Dress Code: anything goes
The Brandarne: every man for himself
Just get down there to Bannow Bay any saturday night and you will to be sure have a darn good nite. You cannot miss it as it has recently just been repainted Bright Red and Green!!!
Dress Code: anything but please bring an instrument
The Stores / The Back Room: Three Floor clubs packed with talent!
I went here with a hangover and as a result was a little wasted after a couple of beers! Three florrs playing excellent music, no hassle getting in, I was wearing runners and Jeans and a black shirt! Its a tenner in on a Saturday night and the place opened at half eight! There is a smokers room upstairs and the staff and the punters were all friendly, one of the very few times I have experienced something like this! Beer and other beverages are reasonable by Irish standards! Only complaint is it can get a little packed and roasting warm!
Dress Code: Casual,Runners and jeans seem acceptable!
- Budget Travel
Wexford Boogie Nights
Nightlife in Wexford tends to revolve around The Junction nightclub, Harpers, or The Stores.
Dont bother with the Junction, it's like €10 entrance and only 50 people inside, 10 of whom will be "dancing", you'll have waaaaay more craic in Harpers. The Stores is pretty good too.
Dress Code: Harpers have strict bouncers so dress smart and dont appear too drunk. Always bring ID!
Downtown wexford: Wexford Pubs
Most pubs in Wexford were open from 6pm tp 12:30 pm most people just came buy grabbed a coule of beers and gone. Irish music is around you just have to search for it
Dress Code: anything really, shorts are frowned on though

- Romantic Travel and Honeymoons
Harpers: Hen Party Central
Lots of English/Welsh hen & stags come over to Wexford for a lost weekend. Unlike Dublin, hens & stag parties are tolerated in Wexford (within reason).
Harpers will take hens, but i dont think they would take a big stag party.
Dress Code: Well I suppose you could bring plastic willies, fake tiaras, L-plates, fake boobs, whatever... ;-))
Benedicts: The most mental nightclub I have ever been to
The music is fine, a wide mix of tunes....the first club I've been to that plays Fatboy Slim straight after Buddy Holly & Jim Reeves!
The clientele is a bit rough though, we felt like anyone would wacked us over the head with a bottle, given the slightest provocation!
