Hook Lighthouse is a unique example of an almost intact medieval lighthouse. It dates from the early 13th century and was a major feat at the time of its construction.
You must see this great little village with its lovely thatched roofs, brilliant place with a perfect sandy beach for the children. Home to a few nice hotels and restuarants.
A visit to Tintern Abbey was one thing I did while in Wexford. The historic stonework and view make this a perfect place to visit on a "day off".
Duncannon fort is a star shape building built in 1558 at Waterford's harbour. The fort is noted for it's dry moat and exterior walls and legends of the " croppy boy"

Enniscorthy Castle sits in the centre of town overlooking the Slaney river, now the home of Wexford Historical and Folk museum.

Their houses were made of timber, and insulated with clay (wattle and daub). They had no chimney, and so were smoky, and dark.
