Parking in Wexford
As this was only our 2nd day in Ireland and still getting used to driving on the opposite side of the road, we didn't want to spend a lot of time driving around looking for a parking spot. We spotted a public car park at White's Hotel, it was 10€ for us to park for 5 hours, we noticed as we were walking around that the lot by one of the churches was a flat fee of 3€.
Here's a link to the church parking lots, I believe we saw the 3€ sign at the church on Bride Street, the website below says that the church on Bride Street has the flat fee parking and you can get your car out until midnight. Whatever you do, read the signs carefully.
Bus from Dublin
Hourly buses from Dublin.
There is a train station in wexford which takes you to Dublin but it's never that busy.
Also there are busses from Cork and Waterford to Rosslare, via Wexford town and New Ross.
As there is no local regular service, get a car or a taxi if you want to explore the county.
Ardcavan is a private operator, but they only do the Dublin-Wexford route on Friday and Sunday for about €15 rtn.
Of course, you could always get a 4-legged friend :))
Wexford Train and Bus Station
This is Redmond Square, beyond you can see a low white building, this is the railway station which connects with Dublin (northbound) and Rosslare (southbound). The Dublin Wexford train service has suffered from lack of government funding in recent years - it's not exactly the Bullet Train. However, if you want a nice scenic journey you're looking for, then it's a must.
It's listed by Michael Palin (Monty Python) as one of his favourite train journeys.
For a more prompt and affordable service, take the Bus Eireann bus. It goes from just in front of the station in the picture and you can buy tickets in the post office opposite (just out of shot on the right hand side of the picture).

Ferries from France and Wales go to Rosslare harbour.
If you're getting the ferry from Fishguard,Swansea, Pembroke - there are no passport controls.
The best way to get around Wexford is to walk, The down town shopping area about 2o blocks long is blocked off to traffic daily but driving and parking in Wexford is totally useless
