    The Garden in the Garden

Mount Usher is a great garden laid out in a naturalistic style in the 19th century and open to the public for many years (Bear in mind you do have to pay in). Its considered one of the finest gardens in Ireland. Theres a coffee shop for refreshments after you savour the garden.

I do find it a very romantic looking garden with rare trees, shade loving plants and shrubs growing abundantly throughout the meadows. As you stroll into the woodland, you'll see how the landscape changes and gives a very scenic view.

Mount Usher Gardens are classic Robinsonian, romantic gardens designed around natural waterways. Lush, almost overwhelming displays of thousands of plants with streams, brooks, and the River Varney are featured. Bridges and crossings lead you through this gardiner's paradise.
