We visited Parkes Castle last year (Aug 07). We were staying in Keadue Co. Roscommon. The drive up to the castle was fantastic .... beautiful unspoilt countryside. The people living in and around this area are so hospitable. They are really lovely people, friendly and welcoming. This was the first time I'd visited the area, and plan to go back there this summer. I would recommend any visitor from any part of the world to make sure they see this part of Ireland, and this Castle. Tour Guides are very helpful, and informative, and the grounds are a must see. The lough will take your breath away, and the Red Robins are as friendly as the people!
take a velo and explore this area!!
but it's a long ballad!! :))))
and you'll find nice constructions:
