Gallaghers Boxty House: What's a Boxty?

Boxtys are yummy potato pancakes filled with whatever your heart desires. They're soooo good but be prepared to feel like a beached whale after one of these!

Great ambiance and service but no Guiness. It's a Murphy pub. =(

Favorite Dish: I tried the corned beef and cabbage boxty and the lamb boxty. Go for the lamb..

Small cozy restaurant. Try to get a window table, there are several. Wood decor. Good service. Check out their menu on the internet!

Favorite Dish: We all had Irish stew, and as it turned out, one of the best lunches I had during the trip. The waitress never let our beer glasses get empty...

Their boxty dishes are potato pancakes grilled and then filled and rolled with various choices, several of them are vegetarian.

Gallagher's, in Temple Bar District of Dublin

When in Ireland---try to soak in as much Irish atmosphere as is possible. Though a bit touristy, this is a great place to go in the Temple Bar District of Dublin.
